- Hi everyone! Today, I would like to talk about my applied network homework related to applied computer networks (CCNA). Before I explain what I have done in homework, I will mainly talk about my Cisco adventure. Before I started my department, I had never experienced Cisco. That’s why it was tough to understand the logic behind building scalable, secure, and maintainable network infrastructure.
- Moreover, I realized that when I accomplished fundamental networking topics. Now, I can integrate my knowledge with the CTIS261 (Introduction to Networks) course. For instance, I can divide the network using its subnet mask and desired host counts. Meanwhile, I can provide each VLAN with correct IP configurations and subnet portions. Another topic that I want to talk about is cybersecurity.
- Platforms like TryHackMe and HackTheBox Academy offer various networking courses, primarily similar to the Cisco CCNA course. However, I recognize that CCNA can be preferable, but I can sincerely say that it does not need to be a requirement to achieve cybersecurity fields such as penetration testing, red teaming, or blue teaming since we are just dealing with mostly port numbers, protocols, service names, accessing ports and so on… I know these are skills that will be necessary to level up in several cybersecurity fields. However, you can also get this knowledge through the platforms that I mentioned before.
- CCNA most likely will be a…
